Meet Kim

Kim Holloway, Intimacy & Relationship Coach

Hey there! I’m Kim Holloway, Certified Life Coach, with a passion for helping you heal from the past, awaken to your heart’s true desires, and embody the powerful, passionate, authentic truth of who you really are. I work with individuals and couples who are ready to improve their self-awareness, communication skills, capacity for intimacy, emotional self-regulation, and more, so that love isn’t just love – It’s Juicy. Delicious. Love.

As a young woman with a tendency to dive into love from the shallow-end of the pool (ignoring the warning signs on the edge), full of passion and longing to be chosen, swept off my feet, and loved beyond measure, I was sure the most important thing in life was to experience what I dreamed love to be, only to end up disappointed by the reality of what love required. Each and every time the flurry of excitement and love-drunk passion began to settle in my relationships, it would often be slowly replaced by the reality that my partner and I were two completely different and imperfect humans, experiencing and interpreting the world and each other through different lenses, often speaking entirely different languages. My relationships became battlefields on which everyone got wounded but no one ever really won. And I started to realize: my notions of whatever I thought love would be like, whatever I thought it would take, were completely misguided. And these were things I only began to realize in my 30s, which made me feel behind, like somehow I should have gotten the memo sooner.

I had no idea who I was, how to communicate my needs, how to hold space for my partners, how to repair after relationship ruptures – and my partners were clueless too. And with each failed relationship, I became more and more attuned to my own sense of unworthiness – I wondered if anyone would find me good enough or worthy enough to want to truly love me. And so began my deep dive into getting to know myself and the origins of my own deep wounding, navigating the landscape of shame and not-enoughness, studying the science behind healthy relating and communication skills, and putting everything I was learning into practice to cultivate the connected, meaningful, and fulfilling life and love I wanted to experience.

Of course the responsibility for learning, practicing, and growing into the kind of lover I wanted to be and ultimately partner with was something I had to do for myself, but if it weren’t for the coaches, therapists, and mentors that helped me get an objective view of myself and handed me tools along the way, I wouldn’t be the woman and sought after coach that I am today. We are not meant to figure everything out all alone, and you don’t have to either. My personal journey has been an epic adventure of healing, self-discovery, empowerment, and growth. It’s a journey I’m proud of, and now that I’ve experienced how profoundly this work can transform our lives, I dedicate myself to helping you transform yours.

Throughout my career, I have helped hundreds of people improve their lives in a variety of ways, from fine-tuning their self-care practices, to implementing necessary changes for renewed fulfillment and happiness, to healing and learning from relationship rifts and rupture, to writing new personal and professional life chapters, and more. We are all worthy to be fully seen, loved, and met in healthy, passionate, mutually-giving relationships. I believe that to figure out how to live the fulfilling, authentic, and empowered lives we want to live is our legacy. For that reason, I strive to help my clients build the self-awareness, confidence, and skills to do just that.

When I’m not working, you can find me training in Jiu Jitsu, reading one of the 7-10 books on my end table, or spending time with my son and our variety of exotic pets. In my personal and professional life, I’m always looking for ways to facilitate deeper connection, authenticity, and healing in my community, because I believe we all need each other to truly thrive in our lives.

If you’re ready to take action to transform your life, I would love to work with you!

What is Coaching?

Coaching can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. With me, it’s about partnering with you in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to maximize your potential. You are in the pilot’s seat and fully in charge of your coaching journey. But as your co-pilot and partner, I actively listen to what you share (and what you don’t) and ask powerful questions that, when explored by you, will unlock your previously untapped inner sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership. I provide accountability, encouragement, and a safe, judgment-free space for you to get clear about your thoughts and feelings and receive guidance, support, and feedback.

What Coaching is Not

While a lot of people think of a “Coach” as someone who will tell you what to do and give you all the answers, that’s really something you get from a consultant, mentor, or perhaps, a therapist. Coaching is NOT about telling you what to do. Coaching is not therapy or counseling. Coaching is about empowering you to tune in to your own inner knowing, learning to pull upon your own wisdom and strength, so that you can take action.

What makes my approach so powerful is not that I tell you what to do, though you may wish that I would. I certainly could. But my answers wouldn’t be YOUR answers, and giving you MY solutions wouldn’t empower you to be a more sovereign and capable creator of your own life. So as your coach, my job is to help you realize, sometimes for the first time, just how powerful you are for manifesting your own happiness.

We all have goals we want to reach, challenges we’re striving to overcome, and times when we feel stuck. Partnering with me will help you learn new skills and increase your confidence so that you can change your life and set down a path to greater fulfillment.

Kim's Coaching Process

Working with me can look different for every unique situation, but I generally offer six to twelve 1-hour coaching session packages that best fit your needs and goals. I meet with you weekly or bi-weekly, depending on what we’re working on at the time, and you have private message access to me between sessions for questions/thoughts that come up along the way.

Some clients know exactly what they want to achieve from Day 1. Other clients take time to explore what needs to happen. There is no set timeline for healing and discovering the best path forward. And even if we set out in one direction with a certain timeline in mind, you will almost always learn and experience things along the way that inspire you to adjust your plans in various ways. However the journey unfolds, I will meet you exactly where you are on the path to healing and growing, providing a positive, collaborative, and supportive coaching relationship you can rely on for moving forward.

"I started working with Kim during a time when I felt lost and anxious and knew that I needed guidance. She has a way of guiding you that really helps you discover the answers within you - she doesn’t give them to you. Kim helps you to do the work and heal. I highly recommend Kim for life coaching. "I have immense gratitude for Kim. I experienced a turbulent relationship. It felt impossible to understand and manage my emotions as I let him go. Kim allowed me the space to express my feelings out loud, with no judgement. She guided me through how to break them down and release them so that I was able to move on and release the feelings that weighed so heavily on me.

I felt so clear after our sessions. She helped me move on and find the strength to tackle those feelings when they surface. I highly recommend her as a coach!"
